Ecologistiek

Delivering and assembling a luxury sofa or a marble table is a complex logistical challenge. For Ecologistiek, an unreliable software system was holding back their growth. Together with Welisa, they built a Salesforce solution that is so simple to use, it earns spontaneous applause from clients.

Two years ago, director Sander Prins founded Ecologistiek to support retailers with the storage, transport, and assembly of high-end furniture. Complexity is the standard. “The destination and the service level differ for every piece of furniture,” says Sander. “For one customer, we only deliver; for another, we assemble a wardrobe on the first floor, sometimes with a moving lift.”

The Challenge: An Unreliable System Holding Back Growth

To manage these complex processes, good software is crucial. “We previously worked with software that was cheap, but it didn’t do what we needed,” Sander explains. “Orders would disappear, and customers were confused.” This unreliability was not just frustrating; it was actively preventing the company from taking on new clients and moving to the next level.

The Solution: A Piece of Cake for the Customer

Welisa replaced the failing system with a robust and user-friendly solution in Salesforce, consisting of two core components:

  1. A Customer Order Portal: Retailers can now easily create their orders via a web portal. The reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. “Recently, a group of women spontaneously started clapping. Placing an order is easier than ordering a pizza.”
  2. A Warehouse Management System: Upon arrival, goods are scanned with an app and immediately assigned a location in the warehouse. “This way, we know exactly where every package is,” says Sander.

The Result: Ready for the Next Phase of Growth

The difference is night and day. Clients are delighted with the simple and error-free ordering process. Internally, Ecologistiek has a complete overview of its order portfolio and real-time warehouse inventory. This new digital foundation gives the company the confidence to grow physically. They will soon move to a larger facility to serve new customers, and their processes are now ready for it. The upcoming integration with the route planning system will free up even more time.

A Long-Term Partner

The collaboration with Welisa has been a breath of fresh air. “From our previous software supplier, we often heard that something wasn’t possible,” says Sander. “Welisa surprises us by delivering new functionalities well before the deadline. They are very accessible and deliver excellent work.” Future plans, such as bulk order uploads and automatic invoicing, are therefore met with confidence.
