From Volendam, a wide range of fish and frozen products goes to approximately 2,000 customers throughout Europe. Mooijer is known as a skilled supplier of high quality fish, who takes care of all aspects of trade for the customer.
With such a large customer base, a CRM system is no luxury. Welisa made customer contact a lot easier with the implementation of Salesforce.
The Volendam fish shop takes care of everything. Under one roof are the traditional smokehouse, the processing department and the cold store, but also the headquarters and takeaway center. As business developer, Roy van Santen is responsible for improving various processes. ‘Customers buy from us because of our high quality products and service. Because of our excellent transport network, they know what to expect.’
Those two thousand customers deserve attention. And new customers are added every day. When a customer registers via the website, an efficient process has recently been set up thanks to Salesforce, explains Roy. From registration to the first order, it goes very smoothly for the customer and customer information is neatly registered for all of us. Mooijer also works with an increasingly larger group of colleagues on sales. Now that we put everything in Salesforce, we know from each other what has been discussed with a new customer. Salesforce is also very helpful to keep in contact with existing customers. We can now provide a better service to customers. If a customer has stopped ordering for a while, we can see that and actively seek contact. We ask what is going on and what we can do?’ The customer base is very diverse: from fishmongers and the hospitality industry to the French supermarket Carrefour. Mooijer has also become big among Asian toko’s. ‘We import food from Asia and distribute it throughout Europe to local tokos. That’s a huge process and a good customer system was badly needed.’
'Welisa understands us'
The salespeople still have to get used to working with Salesforce a bit, but they see the benefits. Roy is satisfied with the cooperation with Welisa. ‘It went very smoothly. We explained what we needed and Welisa understood exactly that. They came up with a nice, well worked out final solution. Welisa listens carefully to the customer and then uses their experience from previous projects. That has proven to be very successful.’
