The Tovertafel projects interactive games onto a table or floor, encouraging people with conditions like dementia to move and play together. What began as PhD research has grown into a global scale-up. The company’s core business is game development; its business processes must support that mission as efficiently as possible.
The Challenge: From Start-up to a Global Operation
Rapid growth brought a classic challenge: the company’s start-up processes were no longer sufficient for a global operation. Tom Schild, User-Centered Process Designer at Tover, explains: “I think from my colleagues’ perspective: what do they need to work efficiently?” To scale up, it was crucial to automate manual actions and streamline the flow of information between departments like sales, marketing, operations, and finance.
The Solution: A Central and Automated Process
Welisa implemented a central solution based on Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, supporting the entire journey from lead to invoice and activation. Leads now flow in automatically, are followed up by sales, and when a deal is closed, the system syncs the data with the financial system.
Because the games are software products, Welisa developed a crucial custom feature: the automatic activation of game subscriptions. “When a customer orders a subscription, Salesforce activates it immediately, so they can start using it right away,” says Tom. The operations department is also connected: “They know exactly which Tovertafel needs to go where. Everyone can easily find the information they need.”
The Result: Efficiency, Insight, and Direct Customer Value
The new, streamlined way of working has delivered significant benefits for Tover. Employees spend less time on manual tasks and have better insight into the entire process. Marketing can track campaigns more effectively, and the sales department follows a unified process, which is essential for collaborating with international partners. The most important gain is for the customer, who can use a new game subscription immediately after purchase.
A Partner with the Same Dedication
The cultural fit with Welisa was essential for Tover. “I really appreciate their speed and flexibility. Welisa is open to new ideas and pivots quickly,” says Tom. Their commitment during the go-live was proof of a true partnership.
“Welisa gave it their all and really stepped it up a notch when we needed it. I don’t know any other company that would do that with so much dedication. We share the same focus and the same goal: to achieve the best possible result.”
